Today was the big day. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party was tonight. One of the big reasons why we came down this year. It wasn't until 7:00 so we headed over to MGM for the day.

Before we headed to MGM we checked out of our room and will check back in tonight to a room with a Magic Kingdom view. The Contemporary is situated so you have one of 2 views; the Lagoon view or the Magic Kingdom view. We really wanted the MK view so we switched rooms. More on that later (I am trying to go in chronological order).

As soon as you go through the gates at MGM you see the huge Sorcerer Mickey hat. It is awesome. We saw a fun Playhouse Disney show with Bear in the Big Blue House, Rollie Pollie Ollie, Stanley and the Book of Pooh. Then we just walked around. Jantzen didn't want to Tower of Terror or Rockin' Roller Coaster this time. We did see the White Rabbit and and got his autograph. We had not seen him before.

We went to Pizza Planet for a little bit then we went next door to Al's Toy Barn and saw Buzz and Woody. They are so cool.

We then went to the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" show. It was really neat. Everything was just like the TV show. The lights, sounds and even the stage. About the only thing different was Regis wasn't there. But the audience participated in the questions as well as the person in the "hot seat". It was a lot of fun.

We had lunch at the Sci-Fi Drive-In restaurant. It was really cool. It looked like a big drive-in movie. You sit in these old cars and eat your dinner while an old sci-fi movie played on the screen. We didn't have PS so we had to sit at the tables in the back, just like the drive in. It was really neat.

We wanted to stay for the Stars and Motor Car parade at 4pm but had PS at 1900 Park Fare at 5:15 before MNSSHP so we headed back to the hotel.

When we got back to the Contemporary our Magic Kingdom view room was waiting for us. It is awesome. We were on the 9th floor in room 4526. You step out on your balcony and you can almost see the whole Disney property. You can see the Grand Floridian, the monorail, Polynesian and of course Magic Kingdom. We had a great view of the fireworks every night as well as the Castle being lit up for the Halloween party.

We ate dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. It is such a pretty place. We saw the Pooh characters there.

After dinner we hopped back on the monorail and headed back the hotel to change for MNSSHP. Marina was a cute little Buzz Lightyear and Jantzen was the Evil Emperor Zurg. Lisa made an awesome Zurg costume for Jantzen. He looked really good.

We got to the party about 7:30. It is so neat. The Castle is all lit up in spooky lights and the creepy music is playing. There were a few rides open so we did that first. We rode Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, The Magic Carpet's of Aladdin and Space Mountain. Then we stayed for the Villains parade at 9:30. We had a lot of fun. We didn't see as many Villains as we did last year. We were probably at the wrong place at the wrong time. But it was still a lot of fun.
