TIGER SHARKS COMPETE IN SILOAM SPRINGS

Five Lamar Tiger Sharks journeyed the 2 hours to compete in the Siloam Springs Invitational swim meet on July 8^th and 9th.

Andrew Fowler competed in 6 events. He finished 4^th in the 50 yard backstroke and 6^th in both the 50 yard butterfly and 50 yard breaststroke. Paige Pierson swam in 6 events. She placed 2^nd in the 50 yard breaststroke, 3^rd in the 100 yard individual medley and 4^th in the 50 yard butterfly. Brittany Steever also swam in 6 events finishing in the top 3 for each of them including four 1^st place wins. She was first in the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard individual medley, 50 yard butterfly and 100 yard freestyle. She also placed 2^nd in the 50 yard breaststroke and 3^rd in the 50 yard backstroke.

Jordon Steever also made the trip worthwhile. He placed 1^st in the 50 yard backstroke, 2^nd in the 100 yard freestyle and 3^rd in the 50 yard breaststroke. He also placed 4^th in the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard individual medley and the 50 yard butterfly. Jordon Finney placed 19^th in the 50 yard freestyle and 20^th in the 50 yard backstroke.
