CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD AT PSU

Forty-two Tiger Sharks qualified for the conference swim meet held at Pittsburg State University August 5th and 6th. Conference swim meets operate a little differently than regular meets and invitationals. Depending on your qualifying time you swim in either an A or B division. If you swam in the A division (the faster times) you had to first swim in a preliminary heat. The top 6 swimmers from the preliminaries went on to swim in the finals with 7th and 8th place being alternates. Those top 6 finalists all received medals. In the B division there were no preliminaries, just finals. The top 6 swimmers in the B division received ribbons.

There were no preliminaries in the relays, only A and B division finals. The top 3 relay teams in the A division received medals with 4th – 8th place receiving ribbons. In the B division 1st – 6th place received ribbons.
