MONETT AND LAMAR SWIM IT OUT

 

On July 26th the Lamar Tiger Sharks hosted the Monett Water Thrashers in the final dual of the season. Forty Tiger Sharks battled it out in 82 events that lasted about 3 hours. Ribbons were handed out to the top 6 swimmers in each event. Even though the Tiger Sharks lost to the Water Thrashers many Lamar swimmers received ribbons.

 

For the 6 and under group Donte Stahl placed 4th in the 25 yard freestyle and 5th in the 25 yard backstroke. Wyatt Hull finished 7th in the 25 yard freestyle and Chase Kellenberger placed 5th in the 25 yard freestyle and 6th in the 25 yard backstroke. Haydn Bartholomew rounded out the boys with a 1st place finish in the 25 yard freestyle and 2nd place in the 25 yard backstroke. For the girls Molly Kellenberger received ribbons for her 1st place finish in both the 25 yard freestyle and 25 yard backstroke. Jacey Stahl also received 2 ribbons. She finished 5th in both the 25 freestyle and 25 yard backstroke.

 

In the 8 and under bracket Kip Roland placed 3rd in the 25 yard breaststroke and 6th in the 25 yard freestyle. For the girls Jasmine Bello placed 1st in both the 25 yard freestyle and 100 yard individual medley. She also finished 2nd in the 25 yard  breaststroke. Shelby Haskins placed 1st in the 50 yard freestyle, 2nd in the 25 yard backstroke and 3rd in the 25 yard butterfly. Jessica White took home ribbons for her 3rd place finish in the 25 yard breaststroke and 5th place finish in the 25 yard butterfly. Grace Compton was 2nd in the 50 yard freestyle and 5th in the 25 yard backstroke. Morgan Cook received a 1st place ribbon for the 25 yard freestyle and a ribbon for 4th place in the 50 yard freestyle. Carmen Miller finished up the girls bracket with a 1st place finish in the 25 yard butterfly.

 

Jordon Steever swimming for the 10 and under boys placed 1st in both the 50 yard butterfly and 50 yard breaststroke. He also placed 2nd in the 50 yard backstroke and 3rd in the 100 yard freestyle. Evan Moore placed 3rd in the 50 yard backstroke and 4th in both the 50 yard freestyle and 50 yard breaststroke Zane Hull finished 5th in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle. Jordan Finney placed 8th in the 50 yard freestyle.

 

For the 10 and under girls Madison Kellenberger finished 1st in both the 100 yard individual medley and 50 yard breaststroke. She also placed 2nd in the 50 yard freestyle. Margaret Kellenberger placed 5th in the 50 yard freestyle and 3rd in both the 100 yard individual medley and 50 yard breaststroke. Chynna Moore placed 2nd in the 50 yard backstroke and 4th in the 50 yard butterfly. Ryan O’Sullivan placed 4th in both the 50 yard breaststroke and 100 yard individual medley. Ryan also placed 6th in the 50 yard freestyle. Kenna Roland took home 3 1st place ribbons for the 50 yard freestyle, backstroke and butterfly. Ashton Kirkpatrick placed 5th in the 50 yard backstroke and 50 yard breaststroke. Emily Kremp finished 6th in the 50 yard backstroke and Jerica Stahl placed 5th in the 50 yard butterfly. Hannah Moyer placed 1st in the 100 yard freestyle, 2nd in the 50 yard breaststroke and 3rd in the 50 yard backstroke.

 

In the 11 and 12 year old age division Jacob Haskins placed 4th in both the 50 yard butterfly and 50 yard breaststroke. Thomas O’Sullivan finished 3rd in the 50 yard breaststroke and 4th in the 50 yard backstroke. Jantzen Davis placed 5th in both the 50 yard butterfly and 50 yard backstroke.

 

For the girls Rose Compton finished 1st in the 50 yard breaststroke, 3rd in the 50 yard backstroke and 5th in the 50 yard butterfly. Erin O’Sullivan finished 4th in the 50 yard breaststroke and Paige Pierson finished 2nd in the 100 yard individual medley. Amber Carter placed 2nd in the 50 yard breaststroke, 3rd in the 50 yard freestyle and 4th in the 50 yard butterfly. Brittany Steever finished 1st in all 3 of her events. They were the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard individual medley and the 50 yard backstroke.

 

Kyle Compton and Andrew Fowler swam for the 13 and 14 year old boys. Kyle placed 1st in the 50 yard freestyle and 2nd in the 50 yard backstroke. Andrew received three 1st place ribbons for the 50 yard backstroke, 200 yard individual medley and 50 yard breaststroke. Kailey Roland, swimming for the girls finished 2nd in both the 50 yard backstroke and 50 yard freestyle. She also placed 3rd in the 50 yard breaststroke.

 

For the 15-18 year old bracket Brian Main received two 1st ribbons. One for the 200 yard freestyle and one for the 50 yard freestyle. Mary Catherine Geddie placed 3rd in the 50 yard freestyle and Megan Thieman swam to a 1st place finish in the 200 yard freestyle and placed 4th in both the 50 yard freestyle and 50 yard backstroke.

 

The 8 and under boys relay team of Chase Kellenberger, Kip Roland, Donte Stahl and Haydn Bartholomew placed 2nd in the 100 yard medley and 3rd in the 100 yard freestyle. The girls relay team of Molly Kellenberger, Shelby Haskins, Jasmine Bello and Jessica White finished 2nd in both the 100 yard medley and 100 yard freestyle. The team of Morgan Cook, Carmen Miller, Jacey Stahl and Grace Compton swam to a 3rd place finish in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

The 10 and under boys relay team of Evan Moore, Zane Hull, Jordan Finney and Jordon Steever finished 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle. The girls team of Chynna Moore, Madison Kellenberger, Kenna Roland and Hannah Moyer placed 1st in both the 100 yard medley and 100 yard freestyle events. The team of Margaret Kellenberger, Ryan O’Sullivan, Jerica Stahl and Ashton Kirkpatrick placed 3rd in the 100 yard medley and 3rd in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

The 11 and 12 year old women’s relay team of Amber Carter, Paige Pierson, Brittany Steever and Rose Compton finished 1st in the 200 yard medley and the team of Chynna Moore, Madison Kellenberger, Kenna Roland and Hannah Moyer finished 1st in the 200 yard freestyle.
