TIGER SHARKS AND NEPTUNES DUAL IT OUT IN NEVADA

 

The Nevada Neptunes hosted the Lamar Tiger Sharks in a swim meet July 6th. Even though Lamar had only 44 swimmers versus Nevada’s 73, the Tiger Sharks still came out on top. Ribbons were handed out to the top 6 in each event.

 

Jasmine Bello placed 1st in both the 25 yard backstroke and the 50 yard freestyle. She also placed 3rd in the 25 yard freestyle. Amber Carter placed 2nd in both the 50 yard backstroke and the 50 yard butterfly. Morgan Cook placed 10th in the 25 yard freestyle and 10th in the 25 yard backstroke. Hope Crutcher placed 4th in the 50 yard butterfly and 5th in the 50 yard backstroke. Chandler Curtis finished 5th in the 50 yard freestyle and Blake Elam placed 8th in the 25 yard freestyle.

 

Jantzen Davis finished 2nd in the 50 yard butterfly and 3rd in the 50 yard backstroke and Jordon Finney finished 6th in the 50 yard backstroke. Andrew Fowler had another great meet with 3 1st place finishes; the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard freestyle and 50 yard breaststroke. Hattie Gilkey placed 3rd in the 25 yard breaststroke and Emily Kremp placed 9th in the 50 yard backstroke.

 

Jack Gilkey placed 1st in the 50 yard freestyle and 3rd in the 100 yard individual medley. Jacob Haskins placed 2nd in the 50 yard backstroke and 3rd in the 50 yard breaststroke. Truman Kaderly placed 9th in the 25 yard freestyle.

 

Shelby Haskins continues to gobble up the competition. She finished 1st in all 3 of her individual events. They were the 25 yard freestyle, the 100 yard individual medley and the 25 yard breaststroke. Zane Hull finished 4th in the 50 yard backstroke.

 

Josie Kaderly placed 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle and 3rd in the 50 yard backstroke. Lincoln Kaderly picked up 10 points for his 1st place finishes in the 25 yard backstroke and 100 yard individual medley. Truman Kaderly finished 9th in the 25 yard freestyle and Chase Kellenberger placed 2nd in the 25 yard backstroke.

 

Madison Kellenberger earned 15 points for 3 1st place finishes; the 50 yard freestyle, 100 yard individual medley and 50 yard breaststroke. Margaret Kellenberger placed 3rd in the 100 yard individual medley and 4th in both the 50 yard freestyle and 50 yard breaststroke. Molly Kellenberger placed 2nd in the 25 yard freestyle.

 

Griffen Leininger added to his ribbon collection with 1st place finishes in both the 25 yard butterfly and 50 yard freestyle. He also placed 2nd in the 25 yard backstroke. Kimberly Marti placed 2nd in both the 50 yard butterfly and 50 yard breaststroke, She also finished 3rd in the 50 yard backstroke.

 

Chynna Moore placed 2nd in three events, the 50 yard freestyle, the 50 yard backstroke and the 50 yard breaststroke.  Evan Moore placed 2nd in the 50 yard backstroke and Erin O’Sullivan picked up a 1st place ribbon for the 50 yard breaststroke Hanna Moyer placed 2nd in the 100 yard individual medley and 3rd in both the 50 yard freestyle and 50 yard breaststroke. Ryan O’Sullivan placed 4th in both the 100 yard individual medley and 50 yard breaststroke. Thomas O’Sullivan placed 2nd in the 50 yard breaststroke and 1st in both the 50 yard freestyle and 50 yard backstroke earning the team13 points.

 

Kailey Roland placed 1st in both the 50 yard freestyle and 50 yard backstroke. She then went on to place 2nd in the 50 yard breaststroke. Kenna Roland took home three 1st  place ribbons. She won the 50 yard backstroke, 50 yard butterfly and 100 yard freestyle. Kip Roland placed 1st in the 25 yard breaststroke and 4th in both the 25 yard freestyle and 50 yard freestyle. Donte Stahl placed 4th in the 25 yard backstroke and 6th in the 25 yard freestyle. Jacey Stahl took home a 1st place ribbon for the 25 yard breaststroke and Jerica Stahl placed 3rd in the 50 yard butterfly.

 

Brittany Steever was another Tiger Shark who won all 3 of their events. She finished 1st in the 50 yard backstroke, 100 yard individual medley and 100 yard freestyle. Jordon Steever finished 2nd in the 50 yard breaststroke and placed 4th in both the 50 yard freestyle and 100 yard individual medley. William Tennel earned a 1st place ribbon for the 50 yard butterfly and two 3rd place ribbons for the 50 yard backstroke and 50 yard breaststroke.

 

JT Tucker placed 2nd in both the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events and Jessica White placed 1st in the 25 yard butterfly, 4th in the 25 yard freestyle and 2nd in the 25 yard breaststroke.

 

And last but certainly not least is 2 new Little Sharks making their swimming debut. Four year old Case Tucker placed 7th in the 25 yard freestyle and 4 year old Wyatt Hull placed 4th in the 25 yard freestyle. Good job guys.

 

The 8 and under relay team of Kip Roland, Lincoln Kaderly, Griffen Leininger and Haydn Bartholomew placed 1st in the 100 yard medley and 2nd in the 100 yard freestyle. The 8 and under girls featured Hattie Gilkey, Jessica White, Shelby Haskins and Jasmine Bello winning the 1st ribbon for the 100 yard medley. Also swimming for the 8 and under girls was the team of Jasmine Bello, Molly Kellenberger, Jessica White and Shelby Haskins swimming to a 1st place finish in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

The 10 under boys team of Jack Gilkey, Lincoln Kaderly, Jordon Steever and JT Tucker placed 2nd in the 100 yard medley and the relay team of JT Tucker, Evan Moore, Jack Gilkey and Jordon Steever placed 1st in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

The 10 and under girls relay team of Hanna Moyer, Madison Kellenberger, Kenna Roland and Chynna Moore placed 1st in the 100 yard medley and 1st in the 100 yard freestyle. Also swimming for the 10 and under girls were Josie Kaderly, Ryan O’Sullivan, Margaret Kellenberger and Jerica Stahl. They placed 2nd in the 100 yard medley and 3rd in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

The 11-12 year old girls relay team consisting of Brittany Steever, Erin O’Sullivan, Amber Carter and Hope Crutcher placed 1st in both the 200 yard medley and 200 yard freestyle.
