LAST CHANCE IN CLAREMORE

 

On July 29th eleven Tiger Sharks traveled the 2 hours to Oklahoma to participate in the Claremore Last Chance Invitational swim meet.

 

Haydn Bartholomew finished 2nd in all 3 of his events. They were the 25 yard backstroke, 25 yard freestyle and 25 yard butterfly. Jasmine Bello finished 3rd in the 25 yard backstroke, 2nd in the 50 yard freestyle and 6th in the 25 yard breaststroke. Amber Carter placed 4th in the 50 yard freestyle, 3rd in the 50 yard backstroke and she came in 1st place in the 100 yard freestyle. Andrew Fowler finished 1st in both the 50 yard backstroke and 200 yard individual medley. He also placed 2nd in the 50 yard breaststroke. Mary Catherine Geddie finished 4th in the 50 yard freestyle and 2nd in both the 50 yard backstroke and 50 yard butterfly.

 

Jacob Haskins placed 2nd in the 50 yard freestyle, 2nd in the 50 yard backstroke and 3rd in the 100 yard individual medley. Shelby Haskins placed 1st in both the 25 yard backstroke and 25 yard breaststroke. She also placed 2nd in the 25 yard freestyle. Griffen Leininger placed 3rd in the 25 yard freestyle and 2nd in both the 100 yard individual medley and 25 yard breaststroke. Jillian Leininger finished 5th in the 50 yard freestyle. Kailey Roland placed 1st in both the 50 yard backstroke and 100 yard freestyle. She then went on to place 3rd in the 50 yard breaststroke. Kenna Roland finished 1st in the 50 yard freestyle, 2nd in the 50 yard backstroke and 1st in the 100 yard freestyle.

 

When the final results came out Amber received high point honors for the 11 and 12 year old girls division. Andrew was 2nd for the 13 and 14 year old boys, Shelby was 2nd for the 8 and under girls, Griffen was 3rd in the 8 and under boys bracket, Kailey was 2nd for the 13 and 14 year old girls and Kenna was tied for 2nd in the 10 and under age division.

 

This was the last meet of the season for the Tiger Sharks. A lot of them will go on to compete in the Conference swim meet on August 5-6 in Pittsburg.
