Day 2

We checked out of the Holiday Inn and grabbed some breakfast in the restaurant. After that the kids took a little train ride in the parking lot. I'm telling you, this place is neat. We were anxious to get checked into the Polynesian and head to the parks so we grabbed a taxi and headed that way.

We got a great room at the Polynesian. It was room 1036 in the Tahiti building. It was perfect. we had a great view of the Magic Kingdom. Our room was on the ground floor so we were just 50 yards from the water. There was even a hammock right there on the sandy shore.

The Polynesian resort is just awesome. Maybe the best one we have stayed at yet. There are palm trees, foliage, waterfalls and tiki torches everywhere. The monorail and ferryboat are right there too. So we can just hop on them to go just about anywhere.

After getting situated in the room we hopped on the monorail and headed to Magic Kingdom. The first thing Marina wanted to do was ride the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. Then we went over to Tomorrowland and rode Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin twice. The lines were real short this time of the year so we got right on, most of the time. After BLSRS Jantzen and Lisa rode Space Mountain. Then we saw Darkwing Duck over in Toontown. We had never seen him before so that was cool. It is getting harder and harder to find characters we have not seen before and get their autographs. We are up to 82 characters now. We saw 5 of this trip we had not seen before.

After getting Darkwing Duck's autograph we rode the Walt Disney Train over to Main Street. We had a nice lunch at Cinderella's castle and then went over to Fantasyland. On the way there we saw Robin Hood and got his autograph. In Fantasyland Lisa and Jantzen rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We were then gonna go to Tom Sawyers Island but it was just closing for the day. So we headed for the front gate.

We had a nice dinner at O'Hanas at the Polynesian where the kids raced coconuts with a broomstick. After dinner the kids swam in the Volcano pool. It was really neat.
